Role Description The Assistant Professor of Psychology is a full-time, on-site role based at Sudhakar Mahila P.G. College in Varanasi. The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate psychology lectures, leading seminars, and guiding classroom discussions. The faculty member is expected to design and update course materials, prepare lesson plans, assess student performance, and provide academic advising. Day-to-day responsibilities also include supervising student projects, participating in departmental meetings, contributing to curriculum development, and engaging in scholarly research and publications. The role may involve participation in college committees and student outreach activities to support the academic mission of the institution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Psychology, with the ability to teach core and specialized subjects.
- Experience in Teaching and University Teaching, including classroom instruction and student mentoring.
- Competence in Curriculum Development for psychology courses and related academic programs.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct Research in psychology or related disciplines.
- Postgraduate degree (preferably Ph.D. or pursuing Ph.D.) in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to teach in a clear, engaging manner.
- Commitment to gender-neutral, inclusive, and non-discriminatory teaching practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives.
