Role Description The Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering is a full-time, on-site role based at CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar I. The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Mechanical Engineering, designing and updating course materials, and ensuring that curriculum content remains aligned with current industry practices and academic standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting tutorials and laboratory sessions, mentoring and advising students, supervising projects, assessing student performance, and maintaining accurate academic records. The Assistant Professor will also engage in research and scholarly activities, contribute to departmental meetings and academic committees, and support institutional initiatives such as accreditation, outreach, and continuous improvement of teaching quality.
Qualifications
- Advanced academic qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (preferably M.E./M.Tech or Ph.D.) from a recognized institution.
- Strong foundation in core Mechanical Engineering domains such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, manufacturing, design, and materials science.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience with laboratory instruction, experimental setups, and the safe use of mechanical engineering equipment and software tools.
- Research aptitude with a record of publications, conference presentations, or ongoing scholarly work in relevant mechanical engineering fields.
- Effective communication skills, collaborative working style, and the ability to engage with diverse learners in an inclusive academic environment.
- Competence in educational technologies, learning management systems, and basic computer applications used in academic settings.
- Willingness to participate in departmental activities, institutional committees, industry interaction, and continuous professional development.
