Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor of Mathematics based at CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar I. The Assistant Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Mathematics and related subjects, ensuring alignment with institutional curriculum and academic standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting lectures and tutorials, organizing problem-solving sessions, and evaluating student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations. The role involves guiding students in projects, mentoring them on academic and career matters, and maintaining accurate academic records. The Assistant Professor is also expected to contribute to curriculum development, participate in departmental meetings and committees, engage in scholarly or applied research, and support institutional initiatives and outreach activities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, with the ability to teach a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Knowledge of Physics and Statistics sufficient to support interdisciplinary teaching, problem-solving, and applied learning activities.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in Curriculum Development, including designing course content, learning outcomes, and assessment methods.
- Postgraduate degree (Master’s or above) in Mathematics or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution; Ph.D. (awarded or in progress) is highly desirable.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or university level, with effective classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to use educational technology and learning management systems for teaching, assessment, and communication.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a student-centered and inclusive teaching approach.
- Willingness to participate in research, academic development, institutional events, and continuous professional learning.
