Job Summary:
Dayananda Sagar University is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Professor in the area of Marketing to join the School of Commerce and Management Studies. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, conducting high-quality research, and contributing to academic administration and student mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lectures and tutorials in core and elective marketing subjects such as Consumer Behaviour, Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Brand Management, etc.
- Develop course materials, assessments, and innovative pedagogical approaches.
- Engage in research and publish in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Supervise student projects and mentor them on academic and career goals.
- Participate in curriculum design and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Organize seminars, workshops, and industry interaction events.
- Contribute to departmental and university-level committees and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research and grant applications.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ph.D. in Marketing from a recognized university is mandatory.
- 1–3 years of experience in teaching/industry/research in the relevant field.
- Evidence of publications in reputed journals or industry-relevant contributions.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
- Familiarity with modern teaching tools, online learning platforms, and research software.
Desirable Skills:
- Industry exposure or consulting experience in marketing.
- Knowledge of emerging areas like AI in Marketing, MarTech, or Green Marketing.
- Willingness to innovate in pedagogy and curriculum development.
- Ability to foster industry-academic linkages and student engagement.
