Position: Assistant Professor

Role Overview
MIT College of Management / School of Business is seeking dynamic, research-oriented, and student-centric faculty members for the position of Assistant Professor across multiple specializations. The ideal candidates will possess a strong academic background, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to impactful research and institutional development.
Core Specializations
Candidates must specify their primary domain of expertise from the following areas:
- International Business (Global trade, export-import, cross-cultural management)
- Logistics & Supply Chain Management (Procurement, warehousing, global logistics)
- Operations Management (Production planning, service operations, lean management)
- Statistics (Business statistics, probability, predictive modeling)
- Business Analytics (Data mining, visualization, business intelligence, Python/R for business)
- Digital Marketing (SEO/SEM, social media marketing, marketing automation, growth hacking)
- Hospital Management (Healthcare systems, hospital operations, patient care management)
- Computer Management (MIS, database management, IT for managers, enterprise systems)
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Pedagogy
- Design, develop, and deliver high-quality undergraduate (BBA) and postgraduate (MBA/Ph.D.) courses using modern, interactive pedagogical tools (case studies, simulations, experiential learning).
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career pathways, and capstone projects.
- Incorporate industry-relevant tools and software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python, Tableau, SAP, Google Analytics) into classroom instruction depending on the specialization.
2. Research & Intellectual Contribution
- Conduct high-quality research aiming for publication in reputable, peer-reviewed journals (Scopus, ABDC, UGC-CARE indexed).
- Present research papers at national and international conferences.
- Explore opportunities for consultancy projects, funded research grants, and industry collaborations.
3. Institutional & Administrative Support
- Actively participate in departmental and institutional committees (Accreditation processes like NAAC/NBA, curriculum development, admissions, examinations).
- Organize and coordinate workshops, guest lectures, seminars, and management development programs (MDPs).
- Foster strong corporate relations to support student internships and placements.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
Education
- Ph.D. in the relevant discipline (Management, Commerce, Statistics, Computer Applications, or Healthcare Administration) from a recognized University/Institute is highly preferred.
- Master’s Degree (MBA, PGDM, M.Sc. in Statistics, MCA) with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) from an accredited institution.
- Clearance of NET/SET (where applicable as per regulatory norms).
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of teaching, research experience.
- Fresh Ph.D. graduates with strong publication pipelines are highly encouraged to apply.
- For technical/specialized roles (Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, Computer Management, Hospital Management), relevant industry experience will be considered a significant advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and industry leaders.
- Proficiency in handling Learning Management Systems (LMS) and hybrid teaching tools.
