Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Deliver lectures in core and specialized finance subjects such as:
- Financial Management
- Corporate Finance
- Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management
- Financial Markets & Institutions
- International Finance
- Develop lesson plans, case studies, and teaching materials
- Conduct tutorials, seminars, and practical sessions
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects
- Research & Publications
- Conduct high-quality research in finance and related areas
- Publish papers in reputed journals (Scopus / UGC CARE / ABDC, etc.)
- Present research at conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Apply for research grants and funded projects
- Curriculum Development
- Design and update course curriculum as per industry trends
- Incorporate practical exposure such as case studies, simulations, and financial tools
- Contribute to accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, AICTE, etc.)
- Student Engagement & Mentoring
- Guide students in academic and career development
- Supervise internships, live projects, and dissertations
- Act as mentor for student groups
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees
- Assist in admission processes, examinations, and academic coordination
- Organize workshops, guest lectures, and industry interactions
Qualifications & Eligibility
For Assistant Professor:
- Master’s degree (MBA/PGDM in Finance / M.Com / equivalent) with minimum 55% marks
- NET/SET qualified or Ph.D. (preferred as per UGC/AICTE norms)
For Associate Professor
- Ph.D. in Finance or related field
- Minimum 8+ years of teaching/research experience
- Strong publication record in reputed journals
Required Skills
- Strong conceptual knowledge of finance subjects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in financial tools/software (Excel, SPSS, R, etc.)
- Research orientation and analytical mindset
- Ability to engage and motivate students
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry experience in finance (banking, investment, consulting, etc.)
- Certifications like CFA, FRM, CA (added advantage)
