Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Professor of Finance, located in the Greater Kolkata Area. The Assistant Professor will oversee teaching postgraduate and undergraduate finance courses, developing curriculum, mentoring students, and conducting research in the field of finance. The role also requires participation in academic committees, publishing research in reputable journals, and contributing to the university's objectives of industry-focused and skill-based education. Collaboration with colleagues to enhance departmental goals and staying updated with recent advancements in finance will be essential.
Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s degree in:
- Finance / MBA (Finance) / M.Com / equivalent
Mandatory Requirement
- Ph.D. in Finance or related discipline.
Experience Requirements:
For Assistant Professor Level
- Fresh Ph.D. candidates OR
- 0–3 years of teaching/research/industry experience
- Thesis Submitted candidate can also apply.
Preferred:
- Prior teaching experience in reputed institutions
- Research publications in indexed journals
- Industry exposure in finance domain
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core finance subjects and deliver lectures
- Prepare course materials and assess students
- Conduct research and publish in reputed journals
- Mentor students and guide academic projects
- Support curriculum development and academic activities
- PhD in Finance
- MBA in Finance / M.Com
- Expertise in Finance and Corporate Finance with the ability to teach both fundamental and advanced concepts.
- Strong knowledge in Accounting to support interdisciplinary teaching and research.
- Demonstrated capabilities in conducting Research in Finance or related fields and publishing scholarly work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to student success and mentorship.
- Experience in designing and delivering industry-relevant courses is a plus.
- Proficiency in using financial tools or software for teaching or research is advantageous.
