Role Description This full-time, on-site role of Assistant Professor of English is based at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) in Bengaluru. The role involves planning and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in English language and literature, designing engaging lesson plans, and using diverse pedagogical methods to support student learning. The faculty member will assess student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects, provide academic mentoring, and support students’ research and career goals. Daily responsibilities also include curriculum review and development, participation in departmental meetings, contribution to academic events and seminars, and engagement in research and scholarly activities in the field of English studies.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in English Teaching and Teaching, with the ability to deliver clear, engaging lectures and facilitate interactive classroom discussions.
- Expertise in teaching Business communication, soft skills, communication skills, critical thinking and ELT
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, course materials, and assessments aligned with program outcomes.
- Advanced academic qualification in English or a closely related discipline (completed Ph.D.; at minimum a master’s degree with a strong academic record).
- Demonstrated research potential through publications, conference presentations, or ongoing projects in English language or literature.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic community.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies, educational technology, and student-centered learning practices.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusive pedagogy, and mentorship of students from varied backgrounds.
