Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science Engineering at Amity University Punjab, located in Mohali district. The role involves designing and delivering high-quality academic courses, developing innovative curricula, and supervising student projects and research. The Assistant Professor will engage in both teaching and research, fostering a dynamic learning environment to inspire students in computer science and engineering disciplines. The role also includes mentoring students, contributing to the university's academic initiatives, and participating in departmental and institutional activities.
Qualifications
- Expertise in core areas of Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and computing concepts
- Proficiency in programming and ability to teach languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar
- Knowledge and teaching capabilities in fields like Data Science and Cybersecurity
- Experience in Curriculum Development and the design of innovative learning methods
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong research background with a proven track record of publications
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to foster an engaging and inclusive academic environment
- Experience working with interdisciplinary collaborations is an advantage
