Role Description The Assistant Professor of Computer Science role at CTPL is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate computer science courses aligned with contemporary industry and academic standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lectures and instructional materials, conducting classroom and lab sessions, mentoring students, and evaluating student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations. The Assistant Professor will collaborate with CTPL’s EdTech teams to integrate digital tools and platforms into teaching, contribute to curriculum enhancement, participate in academic committees, and support departmental initiatives. In addition, the role includes engaging in research or innovation activities, staying current with emerging technologies, and contributing to CTPL’s mission of transforming higher education.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and software engineering.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing course outlines, learning outcomes, and assessment methods aligned with industry and academic standards.
- Practical knowledge and teaching or project experience in Programming (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, or similar languages) for both theoretical and applied coursework.
- Exposure to or specialization in Data Science, including data analysis, machine learning fundamentals, or related computational methods.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity principles and practices, with the ability to incorporate security concepts into teaching and projects.
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field, in line with applicable regulatory and university norms.
- Demonstrated teaching aptitude, clear communication skills, and the ability to engage a diverse student body using modern pedagogical and EdTech tools.
- Interest in research, innovation, and collaboration with industry or academic partners, particularly in areas related to educational technology.
