Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor - Computer Science role based at Amity University in Ranchi. The Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science and related areas, using innovative and student-centered pedagogies. Responsibilities include designing and updating course curricula, preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, conducting lab sessions, and evaluating student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations. The role involves engaging in research, publishing in reputable journals, guiding student projects, and contributing to funded research proposals. The faculty member will also participate in departmental and university committees, student mentoring and advising, academic events, and outreach activities that strengthen industry and community partnerships. Continuous professional development, including staying current with emerging technologies and pedagogical practices, is expected.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and databases.
- Proficiency in Programming (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, or similar languages) and experience with relevant development tools and environments.
