Role Description The Assistant Professor will be a full-time, on-site faculty member located at the GMIU campus in Bhavnagar. The role involves planning and delivering lectures, seminars, and practical sessions aligned with the university’s curriculum and academic standards. Responsibilities include designing course materials, assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The Assistant Professor will engage in research activities, publish scholarly work, and participate in academic events, committees, and departmental meetings. The position also includes mentoring students, contributing to curriculum development, supporting accreditation processes, and collaborating with colleagues to foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
- Advanced academic qualifications (preferably a Ph.D. or equivalent) in the relevant discipline, with a strong foundation in teaching and research.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver structured lectures, seminars, and assessments, with proficiency in outcome-based education and curriculum development.
- Strong research skills, including the ability to conduct independent studies, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic community.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners, provide mentorship, and collaborate with faculty and staff.
- Familiarity with educational technologies, learning management systems, and modern pedagogical tools to enhance classroom and blended learning.
- Commitment to ethical academic practices, student-centered teaching, and continuous professional development.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level and participation in academic bodies or accreditation processes will be considered an advantage.
