About the Institute: Indore Institute of Design is an emerging institute offering B. Design program in Fashion Design, Interior Design, and Communication Design, affiliated under RGPV. The institute aims to deliver high-quality design education aligned with industry standards.

1. Roles & Responsibilities 

A. Principal

• Lead academic and administrative operations of the institute
• Ensure compliance with UGC, AICTE & RGPV norms
• Develop academic strategies and institutional growth plans
• Supervise faculty recruitment, development, and performance
• Maintain industry and academic collaborations

B. Professor / Associate Professor

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions in respective design specialization
• Develop curriculum, lesson plans, and academic content
• Guide student projects, portfolios, and research work
• Participate in academic planning and institutional development
• Publish research papers and contribute to academic excellence

C. Assistant Professor

• Assist in teaching and conducting studio/practical sessions
• Support curriculum development and academic delivery
• Mentor students and assist in portfolio development
• Participate in workshops, seminars, and institutional activities

D. Lab/Workshop Technician

• Maintain lab equipment and workshop tools
• Assist faculty and students during practical sessions
• Ensure safety and proper usage of equipment
• Manage inventory and technical resources

E. Lab/Workshop Attendant

• Support lab/workshop operations
• Assist in setup and maintenance
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of labs

2. Eligibility Criteria For Faculty Positions (Principal / Professor / Associate / Assistant Professor):

• Qualifications as per UGC / AICTE / RGPV norms
• Degree in relevant design field (B.Des / M.Des / PhD preferred)
• Strong portfolio and academic experience
• Industry exposure preferred

For Technical Roles:

• Relevant diploma/degree in technical/design field
• Practical knowledge of tools, machinery, and lab operations

3. Skills Required

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Student mentoring ability
• Technical proficiency (for lab roles)
