Role Description
City College, Jayanagar is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the BCA & MCA programs. This full-time, on-site position, based in Bengaluru, involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Applications, mentoring and guiding students, developing innovative teaching materials, and conducting academic research. Faculty members are also expected to participate in curriculum development, department activities, and other academic responsibilities to enhance the institution's learning environment.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in Computer Applications, Programming, Software Development, and Emerging Technologies
- Effective teaching skills, including lesson planning, student engagement, and classroom management
- Strong research skills and the ability to publish in reputed journals
- Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills for mentoring, guiding students, and collaborating with faculty members
- Problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to promote innovation in teaching and learning methods
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree (MCA/M.Tech in Computer Applications or related field) from a recognized university
- Previous experience in teaching or academic research is preferred
- Commitment to the overall development of students and a passion for education
