Role Description The Assistant Professor (Anesthesia & OT Technology) will deliver classroom and laboratory instruction, ensuring that learners gain strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills in anesthesia and operating theatre technology. Responsibilities include preparing and updating lesson plans, teaching curricula aligned with university and regulatory standards, supervising practical training and simulations, and guiding students during clinical postings as applicable. The role also involves mentoring learners, assessing performance through exams and assignments, maintaining academic records, and contributing to curriculum development and academic quality assurance. The Assistant Professor will collaborate with other faculty members and industry partners to integrate current clinical practices and technologies into the program. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia technology, OT procedures, patient monitoring, and perioperative care.
- Ability to design and deliver engaging lectures, practical demonstrations, and competency-based assessments.
- Experience supervising clinical or lab-based training, with a focus on safety and adherence to protocols.
- Proficiency in academic tasks such as curriculum planning, student evaluation, and documentation.
- Effective communication, mentoring, and classroom management skills.
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Anesthesia Technology, OT Technology, or a related discipline; higher qualifications and relevant teaching or clinical experience are preferred.
- Familiarity with current healthcare standards, guidelines, and emerging technologies in anesthesia and OT practice.
- Commitment to ethical teaching practices, continuous professional development, and collaborative work with academic and industry stakeholders.
