Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Assistant Procurement Manager based in Chennai with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Assistant Procurement Manager will oversee supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, and procurement processes. Responsibilities include managing supplier relationships, assessing procurement requirements, conducting analytical evaluations, and developing effective contract management strategies to ensure cost optimization and timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Supplier Evaluation and managing supplier relationships
- Demonstrated expertise in Procurement and Contract Management processes
- Strong skills in Contract Negotiation to achieve favorable terms and outcomes
- Analytical Skills to assess data, negotiate costs, and support strategic decision-making
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in the marine, defense, or manufacturing industries is a plus
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools is advantageous
