J ubilant Biosys is looking for Assistant Officer - SCM
Experience : 2-4 Years - Import & Export Operations
- Coordinate end-to-end import and export shipments (air/sea/road)
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, etc.)
- Liaise with customs brokers for clearance and ensure compliance with regulations
- Track shipments and update stakeholders on status
- Handle import/export documentation as per DGFT and customs requirements
- Monitor delivery timelines and resolve shipment delays/issues
- Vendor & Service Provider Coordination
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA (Custom House Agents), and transporters
- Maintain strong relationships with logistics service providers
- Evaluate vendor performance periodically
- Invoice Management & Submission
- Verify service provider invoices (freight, CHA, transport, warehousing, etc.)
- Cross-check invoices against agreed rates, contracts, and shipment details
- Ensure proper documentation and approvals before submission
- Submit invoices to finance/accounts within timelines
- Track invoice status and follow up for payments
- Resolve discrepancies in billing with vendors
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ensuring all shipments adhere to international trade laws, customs regulations, and HS code classifications to avoid penalties and legal delays
- Issuance of E-Way bill, delivery challan and invoices as per GST Norms
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and invoices
- Ensure compliance with import/export laws and company policies
- Support audits by providing required logistics and invoice documents
- Maintain MIS reports for logistics costs and performance
- Reporting & MIS
- Prepare weekly/Monthly shipment reports
- Track logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain KPI reports (TAT, cost, delays, etc.)
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field)
- 1–3 years of experience in import/export logistics
- Knowledge of customs procedures, documentation, and Incoterms
- Experience in invoice verification and coordination with finance teams
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PPT
