Role Description The Assistant Merchandiser Paper Products will support the end-to-end merchandising process for paper-related product lines, including coordination with suppliers, internal teams, and customers. This is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with product sourcing, sample development, price negotiations, and order follow-ups to ensure timely delivery and quality standards. The role involves maintaining accurate product and order documentation, tracking inventory levels, and preparing basic reports for the senior merchandising team. The Assistant Merchandiser will also help monitor market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback to support sales and marketing initiatives. Regular communication with vendors and clients will be required to resolve issues and maintain strong working relationships.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and professionally with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Customer Service and Retail experience, demonstrating responsiveness to client needs and familiarity with consumer-facing environments.
- Sales and Marketing skills, including basic understanding of product positioning, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Ability to collaborate in a team setting, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail under deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort working with basic data and reports.
- Prior experience in merchandising, paper products, FMCG, or a related industry is an advantage.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
