Operating in the fast-paced global export market means precision is everything. We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Assistant Furniture Merchandiser who can bridge the gap between our international buyers and our production floors.
What You’ll Do
In the export sector, a merchandiser ensures the buyer gets exactly what they ordered, on time, and up to international standards. You will support our Senior Export Merchandisers by handling:
• Overseas Buyer Communication: Serve as a daily point of contact for international clients, handling inquiries regarding order status, sampling, and shipment timelines.
• Sampling & Product Development: Coordinate with the design and production teams to develop samples based on custom tech-packs or sheets provided by overseas buyers.
• Order Tracking & Timeline Management: Monitor the Critical Path (T&A - Time & Action calendar) from the moment an export order is placed until it leaves the factory gates.
• Quality & Compliance Assurance: Ensure all products meet the specific regulatory and quality standards of the destination country (e.g., moisture control for wood, specific packaging rules, labeling).
• Documentation Support: Work alongside the logistics team to ensure commercial invoices, packing lists, and export certificates are accurate and aligned with the buyer’s requirements.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in furniture merchandising, apparel/home textile export houses, or international product development.
• Global Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication. You should feel comfortable communicating with clients across different time zones.
• Technical Savvy: Strong proficiency in MS Excel for order tracking. Familiarity with reading furniture specification sheets/technical drawings is a huge plus.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to stay calm and find solutions if production delays happen or supply chains shift.
