Job Title: Assistant Manager – Operations (Warehouse)
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly driven Assistant Manager – Warehouse Operations to manage and streamline end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations for a fast-paced D2C/eCommerce business. The role involves overseeing inventory management, inbound and outbound operations, order fulfillment, team handling, and coordination with 3PL and transport partners to ensure seamless operational execution and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, GRN, inventory control, order processing, returns, and dispatch management
- Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, reconciliation, and process adherence
- Drive operational efficiency and ensure adherence to OTIF, TAT, SLA, and productivity targets
- Coordinate with 3PL partners, transport vendors, and internal stakeholders for smooth warehouse and distribution operations
- Monitor daily operational KPIs and prepare reports, dashboards, RCA, and CAPA for operational issues
- Lead and manage warehouse teams to ensure productivity, process compliance, and discipline on the floor
- Implement and improve SOPs, warehouse processes, and operational controls to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
- Optimize warehouse space utilization, manpower planning, and workflow management
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards across warehouse operations
- Collaborate with planning, customer support, finance, and business teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer experience
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for cost optimization and process enhancement
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or fulfillment operations
- Prior experience in D2C, eCommerce, FMCG, Retail, or 3PL operations preferred
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes
- Experience in handling large warehouse teams and vendor management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Good knowledge of warehouse metrics, reporting, and operational controls
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume operational environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in warehouse setup and process implementation
- Knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, and operational reporting tools
- Strong leadership, people management, and communication skills
- Experience in process improvement and operational excellence initiatives
