Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for an Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing Automation. The role involves managing and optimizing marketing automation platforms to support lead generation, nurturing, and customer engagement across digital channels. The assistant manager will work closely with the sales team to design and execute campaigns, track funnel performance, and ensure timely follow-up on leads generated through marketing initiatives, events, and digital outreach. Day-to-day responsibilities include configuring workflows, maintaining and segmenting databases, preparing sales and marketing performance reports, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners or agencies. The role also includes supporting technical sales efforts by preparing presentations, coordinating product demonstrations, and aligning marketing messaging with Semyung India’s industrial testing and safety solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development abilities, including lead qualification, pipeline management, and client relationship building.
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools for campaign setup, workflow configuration, lead scoring, and performance tracking.
- Digital marketing skills, such as email marketing, basic SEO/SEM understanding, social media campaigns, and analytics interpretation.
- Ability to develop marketing collateral and sales support materials, including presentations, case studies, and proposals.
- Familiarity with industrial, EV, battery, or automotive sectors, or technical products and solutions, is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to derive insights from data and recommend improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional Indian languages are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
