Role Description
The Assistant Manager Purchase is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. The role involves managing procurement processes, sourcing reliable suppliers, ensuring timely availability of materials, and negotiating contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities include inventory management, vendor relationship management, purchase order processing, market analysis for better sourcing options, and ensuring compliance with organizational procurement policies. This position plays a key role in facilitating smooth supply chain operations to support the organization's manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in procurement processes, supplier selection, and vendor management
- Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and contract management skills
- Experience in inventory management and supply chain coordination
- Analytical skills for market research and identifying cost-effective sourcing alternatives
- Ability to ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain accurate documentation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems relevant to procurement and inventory management
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in the manufacturing sheet metal industry is an advantage
