Job Summary: The MIS & FPA will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of key financial reports, dashboards, and analyses for senior management. This is a critical role that provides the insights needed to monitor business performance, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in finance and accounting and is highly proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & MIS: Prepare & deliver regular MIS reports, including sales performance, production costs, profitability analysis, and financial forecasts. Develop & maintain dashboards to track KPIs for all departments.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data from various sources to provide actionable insights. Identify significant variances and trends and present findings clearly and concisely to management.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Monitor and report on actual performance against budget, providing detailed variance analysis.
- Process Improvement: Streamline data collection and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Work with other departments to ensure consistent data input and reporting standards.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Respond to specific data requests from the CEO and other senior leaders, conducting ad-hoc analysis to support new projects, cost-saving initiatives, and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CA or CMA certification is an advantage and so is a Bachelors in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of experience with a strong focus on MIS and financial analysis within the manufacturing sector.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros), PowerPoint, and Tally. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
