Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to ensure optimal functioning and reliability of power generation equipment including turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, leveraging condition monitoring techniques to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, instrumentation, and civil teams to coordinate integrated maintenance efforts and timely resolution of mechanical breakdowns.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for mechanical failures, driving corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence and enhance equipment performance.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance, fostering a safety-first mindset consistent with Adani’s core value of care for people and environment.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement in coordination with supply chain teams to ensure availability of critical mechanical components without excess stock.
- Supervise and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, technicians, and contractors, encouraging knowledge sharing, skill development, and high-performance culture.
- Participate in budgeting, cost control, and resource planning to optimize operational expenditure while maintaining quality and reliability.
- Coordinate vendor inspections, audits, and contract management for mechanical equipment services and procurement, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, adopting new technologies, and using data analytics to improve mechanical system efficiency and reliability.
- Support commissioning and startup activities for new equipment installations, ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational readiness.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, maintenance records, and performance metrics for senior management review.
- Actively contribute to sustainability initiatives aligning with Adani’s vision for renewable energy integration and environmental stewardship.
- Foster strong communication channels across teams, stakeholders, and leadership to promote transparency, accountability, and collaboration.
Qualifications
Education Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university/institute. - Postgraduate degree or diploma in Power Engineering or related fields will be an advantage.
Certification Required
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification preferred. - Safety certifications such as NEBOSH or ISO 45001 awareness are beneficial.
