Role Overview
We are seeking a
driven Assistant Manager – Continuous Improvement to support our
Worldwide Manufacturing and CI leadership teams in India. This role will play a critical part in
identifying, planning, executing, and sustaining continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations and contract manufacturing partners.
You will use
data‑driven analysis, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and shop‑floor engagement to improve
quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale (PQCDSM) while strengthening a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead and execute CI projects from identification to implementation and sustenance
- Support site‑wide training on new processes, procedures, and Lean manufacturing
- Develop Value Stream Maps (VSM) for all manufacturing lines
- Optimize processes and analyze process and equipment variation
- Lead major Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) projects
- Drive Kaizen, PDCA, Gemba walks, and waste elimination initiatives
- Evaluate process capability & equipment capability (Cp, Cpk)
- Implement and monitor SPC, Gage R&R, and statistical analysis
- Capture MIS data and present manufacturing KPIs and dashboards to management
- Conduct Pareto analysis to identify root causes of variation
- Optimize changeover and setup time across equipment and SKUs
- Analyze inbound material variability and collaborate with vendors for improvement
- Partner with Manufacturing, Packaging, Automation, Quality, and IT (Oracle) teams
- Support process automation, system enhancements, and BI dashboard development
- Plan and execute horizontal replication of best practices across India and globally
- Drive wastage reduction, yield improvement, line speed enhancement, and uptime
People & Leadership Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a CI team and influence cross‑functional teams
- Set performance goals for self and team aligned with CI roadmap
- Delegate effectively and ensure accountability
- Monitor productivity, provide coaching, feedback, and follow‑ups
- Actively support shop‑floor cultural transformation
What We’re Looking For
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Manufacturing / Operations
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (mandatory)
Key Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset
- Hands‑on expertise in Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, SPC, DMAIC
- Experience with VSM, TIMWOODS, Kaizen, PQCDSM
- Proficiency in MS Office, statistical tools, SPC software, Oracle
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commitment to integrity, discipline, and continuous improvement
Experience
- 7–10 years of hands‑on experience implementing CI initiatives at plant level
- Proven experience driving shop‑floor cultural change
- Background in Pharma, Nutraceutical, Food, or FMCG manufacturing
