Asst. Manager/Manager Purchase - JD
- To Assist/Lead procurement activity for domestic sourcing across all sites of Goa.
- To develop purchasing plans and find potential vendors.
- To craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
- To negotiate and manage contract terms with suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholder and colleagues.
- Approve Purchase order upto 5 Lakhs by verifying specifications and price obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
- Responsible in ensuring the highest level of ethics and due diligence are complied with, managing conflict of interest situations, ensure compliance with delegated authority limits, procurement policies and procedures that meet internal and external compliance requirements.
- To develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
- Conduct Supplier Visits/ Audit to assess their capacity to produce and supply goods as per demands and in the same regard share various improvement areas to the supplier.
- To track and report key functional metrics in order to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness of supply chain management.
- To forecast price and market trends to identify changes and redefining the procurement plans.
- To determine Quality, Quantity and Timing of deliveries.
- To coordinate with internal user departments and external agencies.
- To monitor Purchase Department SOP’s and Formats.
- Vendor Evaluation/re-evaluation/vendor rating.
- Management review meeting and any other compliance Audits/Inspection.
- Meet representatives for information on new product, price queries, delivery problems and general partnership building with organization.
- To Structure effective purchase objectives in order to strengthen the supply chain of the organization.
- Comply with the company policies, procedures and instructions.
- Contributing to improving to business, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and when requested to do so, implementing change..
- Reconciliation of data and monthly purchase reports to HOD.
- Stay up to date on any change that may affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials, advise concern stakeholders of any impact.
- Ensure Professional and consistent supplier management is applied across the supply base in line with the purchasing policy.
- Ensure purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents are in place and updated.
- Regulate workflow by distributing task to department personnel ans assist in resolve operating problems.
- Impart training to department associates
