Role overview
The Legal Assistant Manager will serve as the day-to-day legal backbone of the organisation, handling internal legal matters across the business. The role covers the full agreement lifecycle including drafting, review, negotiation, execution, and tracking of vendor agreements, SLAs, LoIs, MoUs, and other contracts alongside management of litigation and consumer complaints, data privacy and regulatory compliance, and general legal advisory to the internal teams.
This is a hands-on generalist role suited to someone who can work independently across a broad range of legal matters in a fast-growing, multi-location business. The role works closely with Procurement, Projects, Operations, Finance, and HR teams, and supports the leadership on legal risk, compliance, and dispute resolution.
Additionally, the role would require dealing with the company's tier 1 external legal counsel on important matters.
Responsibilities
Agreements & Contract Lifecycle Management
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise a wide range of agreements—vendor and supplier contracts, service agreements, SLAs, LoIs, MoUs, NDAs, lease and licensing agreements, and rate contracts
- Own the end-to-end contract lifecycle from initiation and negotiation through execution, renewal, and closure
- Maintain a structured contract repository and tracking system, monitoring key dates, renewals, expiries, and obligations
- Standardise contract templates and clause libraries to improve consistency, turnaround time, and risk control
- Advise internal teams on contractual terms, risks, and obligations, and support commercial negotiations
Litigation & Dispute Management
- Manage litigation, legal notices, consumer complaints, and disputes, coordinating with external counsel where required
- Draft and review responses to legal notices, complaints, and regulatory communications
- Track case status, hearings, and timelines, and keep leadership updated on material legal risks
- Support pre-litigation resolution and settlement discussions to minimise legal exposure
Privacy, Compliance & Risk
- Support data privacy compliance, including adherence to applicable data protection laws and management of guest and employee data
- Track applicable statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to the business and flag compliance gaps
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal policies, SOPs, and legal controls
- Conduct legal research on emerging laws, regulations, and industry developments relevant to hospitality
General Legal Advisory
- Act as the first point of contact for internal teams on day-to-day legal queries
- Manage relationships with external law firms and consultants, including scope, cost, and quality oversight
- Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and audit readiness for all legal matters
- Support cross-functional initiatives across Procurement, Projects, Operations, Finance, and HR

- LL.B. from a recognised institution; an LL.M. or additional qualification in corporate or commercial law is an advantage
- Enrolment with a Bar Council is preferred
- 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in an in-house legal role or a law firm, with meaningful exposure to commercial contracts and dispute management
- Experience in hospitality, hotels, real estate, retail, or other service-led or multi-location businesses is a strong plus
- Strong drafting, review, and negotiation skills across a broad range of commercial agreements
- Working knowledge of contract law, consumer protection law, and data protection and privacy regulations
