Assistant HR Manager to take full ownership of the recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing candidates, screening & shortlisting, final interviewing, salary negotiations, documentation, and onboarding.
This role is critical in ensuring a structured and efficient hiring process, from identifying top talent to successfully integrating them into the institution while ensuring compliance with HR policies.
Key Responsibilities – Primary Focus Areas
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Create and manage job postings on LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, and institutional career sites.
- Actively source and attract top talent using job portals, professional networks, and direct outreach.
- Conduct resume reviews and initial screening interviews to evaluate candidates based on qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Schedule and conduct final-round interviews in coordination with department heads and senior management.
- Lead salary discussions and package finalization aligned with institutional policies.
Hiring & Onboarding Process
- Ensure selected candidates sign employment contracts, policy agreements, and institutional HR documents before joining.
- Oversee reference checks and ensure candidates meet all necessary compliance requirements.
- Conduct orientation sessions and ensure a smooth transition for new hires into the organization.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Support in resolving basic employee concerns and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and labor regulations.
- Maintain hiring and onboarding metrics for reporting and process improvement.
- Utilize MyClassboard ERP to maintain employee records, offer letters, and contracts.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in HR, with a strong background in recruitment and hiring processes.
- Qualification: MBA in HR or an equivalent degree.
- Industry Preference: Prior experience in the education sector (schools/colleges) is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in end-to-end recruitment, job portals, and sourcing.
- Strong evaluation and screening abilities to identify the right talent.
- Negotiation skills for final interviews and salary discussions.
- Ability to manage employment documentation and HR compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using HR software & ERP systems (MyClassboard preferred).
