About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and process-driven Assistant Manager – Hotel Operations to manage backend hotel booking operations, vendor relationships, and team performance. The role requires strong expertise in hotel reservations, rate negotiations, backend coordination, and operational efficiency, along with the ability to lead a team and handle high-volume corporate bookings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end backend hotel booking operations for corporate clients
- Manage and lead a team of hotel operations executives, ensuring productivity and service quality
- Coordinate with hotels to negotiate competitive rates, contracts, and commercial terms
- Build and maintain a strong network of hotel vendors across multiple locations
- Monitor and ensure timely booking confirmations, accuracy, and service delivery
- Handle client escalations, urgent requests, and complex bookings efficiently
- Maintain and update hotel database, including pricing, policies, and service standards
- Oversee billing coordination and reconciliation with hotel partners (in case of discrepancies)
- Analyze booking trends, occupancy, and pricing data to optimize cost and margins
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, TATs, and quality standards across operations
- Coordinate with Sales, MICE, and Account Management teams for seamless execution
- Train, mentor, and guide team members to improve performance and efficiency
- Prepare and review MIS reports, operational dashboards, and performance metrics

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in hotel operations / backend travel operations
- Proven experience in team handling and vendor management
- Strong exposure to corporate hotel bookings and rate negotiations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
- Experience in managing large-scale or multi-location hotel operations
Preferred Skills
- Experience in MICE or group hotel bookings
- Strong vendor network across domestic and international locations
- Exposure to contract management and pricing strategies
