Profile: Assistant Manager - GST & Accounting
A semi qualified with foundational knowledge of GST laws, accounting principles and compliance procedures and who is capable of handling routine GST filings, bookkeeping, and client coordination.
Educational Qualification :
Requirements :
- Previously worked at a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm with experience in GST compliance.
- Working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail
- Good data handling and Excel skills
- Basic analytical ability
- Communication skills for client interaction
- Ability to manage deadlines
Job Description :
1. GST Compliance Work
- Preparation and filing of:
- GSTR-1 (outward supplies)
- GSTR-3B (summary return)
- GSTR-2B reconciliation
- Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation with books
- GST registration, amendment, and cancellation work
- Handling notices and basic replies under GST
- Assisting in GST audits and assessments
- E-way bill and e-invoicing support
2. Accounting Responsibilities
- Day-to-day bookkeeping for clients
- Passing journal entries and maintaining ledgers
- Preparation of Financial Statements covering Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet and Notes
- Ensuring GST-compliant accounting
3. Client Handling & Coordination
- Collecting data from clients (sales, purchase, expenses)
- Follow-ups for missing documents
- Explaining basic GST and accounting queries
- Coordinating for deadlines and compliance
4. Compliance & Support Work
- Maintaining proper documentation and working papers
Remuneration :
