Position: Assistant Manager, Finance & Accounts (Head of Department role)

Company: Svenska Design Hotels, a European chain of boutique hotels from Sweden

Location: Upscale Boutique Hotel in Electronic City, Bangalore

Salary: Rs. 3.60 to Rs.4.80 lakhs per annum

Qualifications: Finance/ accounts degree required (MBA/ CFA/ CA/ Inter/ MCom/ BCom)

Experience: Min. 10 years experience in accounts essential

Sector: Hotels/ Hospitality industry experience essential

Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Kannada essential

Head of Department Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of hotel financial operations, including receivables, payables, and bank reconciliations
• Record and maintain accurate accounting entries in compliance with established policies and procedures
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting and compliance with tax regulations (GST, TDS)
• Optimise financial processes and controls in the finance & accounting department
• Handle financial audits and liaise with auditors
• Maintain and improve internal controls and financial data integrity
• Provide financial insights and support for decision-making processes
