Role Description The Assistant Manager Engineering is a full-time, on-site role based at a Hyatt property in Patel Nagar. This role supports the engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, ensuring that building systems, equipment, and guest areas are safe, functional, and well-maintained. Daily responsibilities typically include coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, supervising technicians, monitoring HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical systems, and responding promptly to guest and operational service requests. The position also contributes to energy management, safety and compliance initiatives, vendor coordination, and documentation of maintenance activities. The Assistant Manager Engineering collaborates closely with other departments to support smooth hotel operations and a high-quality guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of hotel engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Experience in maintenance planning, preventive maintenance programs, and troubleshooting building services.
- Supervisory skills with the ability to lead, schedule, and develop engineering and maintenance team members.
- Understanding of safety standards, local building codes, and environmental and energy management practices.
- Effective communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional hotel teams and external vendors.
- Prior experience in hotel or commercial property engineering management is highly beneficial.
- Diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Patel Nagar with flexibility for shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs as needed.
