We're hiring: Assistant Manager – Electronics Design & Prototyping | IF MedTech, Navi Mumbai
At IF MedTech, we design and develop medical devices end-to-end — product design, verification and validation, quality and regulatory, and manufacturing, all in an ISO 13485 environment.
We're looking for someone to lead our electronics design and prototyping function: taking products from concept through schematic, PCB layout, prototype build, validation and handover to manufacturing. It's a hands-on technical role with real team and project ownership.
What you'll own
- Analog, digital and mixed-signal design - power management, sensing, signal conditioning, embedded interfaces, owning electronics aspect of the product
- Review and approval of schematics, component selection, BOMs and PCB layouts (multi-layer, high-speed, EMI/EMC-aware)
- Rapid prototyping - fabrication, assembly, bring-up, debug and iteration
- Functional, performance, reliability, environmental and pre-compliance testing; root-cause analysis and CAPA
- DFM, DFT and design-for-cost practices
- Project timelines, resources and budgets; mentoring design engineers and technicians
- Vendor management - PCB fabricators, EMS partners, component sourcing and obsolescence
- Design documentation, revision control, test reports, ECNs and technical files
What we're looking for
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical or Instrumentation (M.E./M.Tech preferred)
- 6–10 years in electronics hardware design and prototyping, with 2+ years leading projects or small teams
- Altium / OrCAD-Cadence / KiCad / Eagle
- Strong analog + digital design, power electronics (SMPS, LDOs, battery management), sensor interfacing
- ARM Cortex-M / STM32 / ESP32 / NXP / TI, and I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, RS-485 (BLE/Wi-Fi/LoRa a plus)
- Signal and power integrity, grounding, thermal, EMI/EMC
- Hands-on with scopes, logic and spectrum analyzers, SMD soldering and rework
- Bonus: DFMEA, DVPs, Python/LabVIEW test automation, and experience taking products through certification and pilot production
Location: Navi Mumbai – Koparkhairane (on-site, full-time)
