Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager/Executive with a strong background in the pharmaceutical ecosystem, particularly within medical writing, medical information, and medical communications organizations. The candidate should bring established relationships with pharmaceutical marketing and medical affairs teams and a proven track record in driving business growth in scientific services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end business development including opportunity identification, pitch creation, and conversion
- Leverage existing networks within pharma marketing and medical teams to generate new business
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across medical affairs, brand teams, and commercial functions
- Develop and deliver high-impact client presentations, proposals, and scientific service pitches
- Identify new opportunities in medical communication, medical information services (MIR), and evidence generation
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and client needs in the pharmaceutical sector
- Drive growth by expanding existing accounts and developing new markets
- Represent the company at industry conferences, CMEs, and pharma events
- Collaborate with internal teams to align business opportunities with delivery capabilities
Key Requirements- Mandatory: Prior experience in pharmaceutical companies OR medical communication / medical writing / medical information agencies
- Strong industry network and relationships with pharma marketing and medical affairs teams
- Demonstrated experience in business development, lead generation, and account management in healthcare/pharma
- Deep understanding of medical affairs, scientific communication, and evidence-based positioning
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into business opportunities
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Manager Business Development/Executive Business Development, based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The professional will be responsible for identifying potential business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and developing detailed strategies to meet client needs. Key tasks include market analysis, creating proposals, negotiating contracts, and preparing sales presentations. Additionally, the role may involve cross-functional collaboration to align business goals with the services offered by IntelliMed Healthcare Solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and driving revenue growth.

- Strong business development skills, including market analysis, client engagement, and sales proposal creation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for effective client relationship management
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices, with a focus on data-driven solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in using digital tools and software for presentations, reporting, and strategy planning
