We are looking for a dynamic Business Development professional with a strong technical understanding of foundation and civil engineering projects. This role is based in New Delhi, India and is a Full Time position within the public department.
Position Summary
The Assistant Manager – Business Development will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, participating in tendering activities, preparing techno-commercial proposals, and supporting business growth across foundation engineering and civil infrastructure projects. The work mode for this position is Onsite.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with EPC contractors, developers, industrial clients, consultants, and government agencies.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, PMCs, and project stakeholders.
- Generate enquiries for piling, stone columns, ground improvement, retention systems, and civil works.
- Track upcoming projects and participate during the pre-tender stage.
Tendering & Proposal Management
- Review tender documents, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with estimation, operations, and engineering teams for bid preparation.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and presentations.
- Participate in technical and commercial discussions with clients.
Client Relationship Management
- Conduct client meetings and presentations.
- Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate foundation solutions.
- Negotiate commercial terms and support contract finalization.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the business development cycle.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor infrastructure, industrial, metro, renewable energy, refinery, power, and commercial construction projects.
- Maintain competitor intelligence and market trends.
- Develop strategic plans to increase market share.
Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with Operations, Planning, Estimation, Procurement, Finance, and Contracts teams.
- Support project handover after order award.
- Assist in resolving commercial and contractual issues.
Desired Candidate ProfileEducation
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering (Preferred)
- MBA in Marketing or Business Management is an added advantage.
Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in Business Development, Tendering, Estimation, or Project Coordination.
- Experience in Foundation Engineering, Piling, Stone Columns, Ground Improvement, or Civil Infrastructure is mandatory.
