Role Overview

We are seeking a high‑potential and growth-oriented Assistant Manager – BD (Commercial Support & Bids) to support commercial bid management, revenue initiatives, and end-to-end tendering for Integrated Facility Management (IFM) contracts.

The ideal candidate should have strong commercial acumen, experience in costing and bid structuring, and a solid understanding of statutory wage implications. This position offers a strong leadership growth trajectory within the Business Development function.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue & Contract Renewal Support

  • Support timely contract renewals and commercial renegotiations.
  • Assist in preparing revised costing and pricing models for renewals.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing IFM and AMC accounts.
  • Maintain a revenue pipeline tracker with accurate forecasting.

Commercial Bid Support & Execution

  • Support end-to-end preparation of costing sheets, pricing models, and margin simulations.
  • Ensure compliance with gross margin guidelines and internal commercial policies.
  • Contribute to increasing bid conversion ratio through structured analysis and benchmarking.
  • Coordinate approvals and support timely, compliant bid submissions.

Margin Structuring & Cost Analysis

  • Prepare manpower and material costing aligned to SLAs and productivity benchmarks.
  • Conduct statutory impact analysis (Minimum Wages, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity).
  • Highlight cost risks and support mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure pricing accuracy and zero calculation errors.

Risk Identification & Governance

  • Review RFP/RFQ documents to highlight financial and contractual risks.
  • Escalate critical clauses and ensure alignment with internal approval matrices.
  • Maintain proper documentation, version control, and compliance governance.

Pipeline Management & Reporting

  • Maintain bid pipelines with stage-wise probability mapping.
  • Prepare weekly dashboards for pipeline status, renewals, and margin analysis.
  • Maintain a structured bid library and costing database.

Cross-Functional & Client Coordination

  • Coordinate with Operations, HR, Finance, SCM, and Legal teams for bid inputs.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and techno-commercial discussions when required.
  • Provide timely clarifications during proposal evaluations.
  • Support seamless handover to Operations after project award.

Performance KPIs

  • Contribution to annual revenue achievement
  • Renewal retention support (target 95%+)
  • Improvement in bid-to-win ratio
  • Adherence to approved gross margins
  • Zero pricing or compliance deviations
  • Timely and accurate dashboards
  • Timely internal approvals and handovers

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or Finance
  • MBA preferred

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in Commercial Bids, Contracting, or Business Development within IFM/AMC
  • Hands-on experience in costing, pricing models, and statutory wage calculations
  • Experience handling corporate RFPs/RFQs in the FM domain

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of IFM commercial models and SLA-based costing
  • Advanced Excel (mandatory) and good PowerPoint skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and costing accuracy
  • Good proposal writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of statutory wage structures and compliance requirements
