Position: Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – MDM Team
Location: Mumbai - Malad
Department: Master Data Management (MDM)
Reports To: – MDM Head
Experience – 4-7 years
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager / Deputy Assistant Manager in the MDM Team will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s master data across multiple domains (Customer, Vendor, Product, Finance, etc.). The role involves ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards, while supporting business operations and digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the MDM team, ensuring timely and accurate data creation, updates, and validation.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Users, Finance, Supply Chain, Stores, IT) to align master data requirements.
- Monitor data quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support ERP/MDM system enhancements, and integration projects.
- Provide training and guidance to team members and business users on MDM processes.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for management on data quality, compliance, and productivity.
- Act as a point of escalation for data-related issues and ensure resolution within defined SLAs.
- Work on ticketing portals to manage and resolve master data-related requests/issues.
- Manage the validation of the offer creation process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Master Data Management concepts and practices.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems ( SAP ) and MDM tools.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Strong working knowledge of SAP.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written & Verbal communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to lead small teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
- Any Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in SAP & Master Data Management, Data Governance, or related domains.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role preferred.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Data Accuracy: Maintain High accuracy in master data records.
- Ticket Resolution: Ensure 95% of tickets are resolved within SLA timelines.
- Offer Creation Validation: Achieve 100% compliance in validation of offer creation processes.
- Turnaround Time: Average processing time for master data requests within agreed benchmarks.
- Data Quality Reports: Deliver monthly dashboards with actionable insights on data quality.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Maintain high satisfaction scores from business users and cross-functional teams.
- Process Improvement: Implementmeasurable process improvements.
