Role Description The Assistant Manager will support the planning and execution of corporate conferences and events, coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in New Delhi, with flexibility for some work-from-home days as business needs allow. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in project planning, budgeting, timelines, and logistics; preparing proposals, presentations, and event documentation; and tracking project milestones. The role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating costs, overseeing on-ground coordination during events, and monitoring quality standards. The Assistant Manager will also support client communication, post-event analysis, reporting, and process improvements to enhance future events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event management, conference coordination, or MICE operations, preferably in a corporate or agency environment.
- Strong project management abilities, including planning, time management, multitasking, and deadline adherence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with event management tools or CRM software.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and budgeting skills, with attention to cost control and quality.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends during peak event periods, and willingness to travel for events as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications in event management are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.
