Role Description The Assistant Manager role at Bank of Baroda in Patiala is a full-time, on-site position responsible for supporting branch operations and ensuring efficient service delivery. The role includes assisting in day-to-day branch management activities, such as overseeing cash operations, account servicing, and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines. The Assistant Manager will interact with customers to address queries, provide information on banking products, and support the processing of loans, deposits, and other financial services. This position also involves monitoring key performance metrics, contributing to business development initiatives, coordinating with internal teams, and preparing regular reports for branch leadership. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service and operational quality.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of core banking operations, branch processes, and retail banking products and services.
- Skills in customer relationship management, customer service, and handling customer queries and escalations effectively.
- Competence in regulatory compliance, risk awareness, and adherence to bank policies, procedures, and security standards.
- Proficiency in basic financial analysis, documentation, and report preparation to support lending and deposit activities.
- Comfort with banking software, MS Office applications, and digital platforms used for day-to-day branch operations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to work with customers, colleagues, and leadership.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in transactional work.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification in banking is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a bank or financial institution, especially in branch operations or customer-facing roles, is highly beneficial.
