Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager role based in Chennai. The Assistant Manager will support day-to-day operations, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring departmental activities to align with business targets and quality standards. Responsibilities include assisting in resource allocation, tracking performance metrics, preparing reports, and supporting process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. The role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards, and providing support in team supervision, training, and issue resolution. The Assistant Manager will also contribute to communication with senior management, help implement strategic initiatives, and ensure timely completion of operational and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities, with experience in managing day-to-day operations and supporting process improvements.
- Competence in data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking using common office and productivity tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support team supervision.
- Understanding of manufacturing or industrial operations, preferably within automotive or tyre-related sectors.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; relevant experience in an assistant manager or supervisory role is an advantage.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
