Purpose of the Role
To support the First Team Manager in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of coaching, player development, match preparation, and team operations. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in creating a positive, high-performance environment that helps the team compete successfully in the Adran South league.
Key Responsibilities
Coaching & Player Development
- Assist in planning and delivering training sessions.
- Support the development of players’ technical, tactical, physical, and mental performance.
- Provide individual feedback and mentoring to players.
- Help monitor player progression and welfare.
Matchday Duties
- Assist with match preparation, analysis, and tactical planning.
- Support team selection discussions and matchday logistics.
- Provide tactical observations and feedback during matches.
- Assist with post-match reviews and performance analysis.
Team Management
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture.
- Support communication between players, coaching staff, and club officials.
- Help manage player attendance, discipline, and conduct.
- Assist in recruitment and talent identification when required.
Administration & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to league, club, and governing body regulations.
- Assist with maintaining player records and training documentation.
- Support safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Football coaching qualification (FAW/UEFA qualification preferred).
- Experience coaching or managing football teams.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to player development and women’s football.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in women’s football.
- Match analysis and performance analysis experience.
- First Aid and Safeguarding certifications.
- Experience working within a competitive league environment.
