Assistant Manager – Treasury Product Controller
📍 Location - Chennai / Pune
🕐 Shift - 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Treasury Product Controller to oversee and manage the financial and accounting aspects of treasury products and transactions.
The role will involve monitoring treasury products, ensuring accurate financial reporting and valuation, managing reconciliations, analyzing P&L and balance sheet positions, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of treasury products, financial markets, product control, risk management, and financial reporting, preferably within the banking industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on treasury products, with focus on interest rate, liquidity, and market risks.
- Monitor risk management strategies and controls in line with accounting policies, investment mandates, and enterprise risk management frameworks.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for treasury products and transactions.
- Perform reconciliation of trading positions, P&L, and balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure appropriate valuation of treasury products, derivatives, and financial instruments in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform price verification and investigate valuation differences or exceptions.
- Conduct impairment analysis of treasury investments.
- Analyze treasury product performance and provide insights on profitability, risk, and potential opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial target-setting activities.
- Monitor performance against financial targets and provide relevant analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls within treasury product control activities.
- Ensure treasury products and transactions comply with applicable financial regulations and internal policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation, reconciliations, and explanations.
- Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Risk, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Investigate and resolve accounting, valuation, reconciliation, and reporting issues related to treasury products.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong understanding of Treasury Products and Financial Markets.
- Good knowledge of Product Control / Financial Control processes.
- Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Reconciliations, Valuation, and Price Verification.
- Knowledge of derivatives and financial instruments.
- Understanding of interest rate, liquidity, and market risks.
- Knowledge of relevant IFRS/accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Experience in impairment analysis of investments.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of risk management frameworks and internal controls.
- Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and financial systems/software.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Audit, and other business functions.
Eligibility Criteria
- CA qualification is mandatory.
- 4–9 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in Treasury Operations, Treasury Product Control, Financial Control, or related functions.
- Banking experience is preferred; candidates from other relevant financial services/industries may also be considered.
- Strong exposure to treasury products, financial markets, accounting, valuation, and risk management.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with up to 30 days' notice period preferred.
