Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing

Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and commercially driven Assistant Manager – Sales & Marketing to support and grow our new business function across lead generation, client conversations, proposal development, and commercial closure. This role is suited for someone who understands how an agency-led sales process works — from creating market interest and identifying the right prospects, to shaping client requirements, building persuasive proposals, and converting opportunities into long-term busiPERness relationships. The ideal candidate should bring a mix of B2B marketing, business development, consultative selling, and proposal management, preferably within an e-commerce, digital marketing, marketplace consulting, SaaS, or agency environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Market Outreach
- Plan and execute lead generation initiatives across multiple channels
- Drive outreach through LinkedIn, email campaigns, webinars, partnerships, industry events, and networking opportunities
- Identify and target relevant brands, founders, e-commerce leaders, and decision-makers
- Create outreach messaging, follow-up sequences, campaign narratives, and pitch hooks tailored to Nuvoretail’s services
- Support thought leadership and brand visibility efforts to strengthen market presence and generate new opportunities
- Maintain a steady pipeline of relevant inbound and outbound prospects
Client Qualification & Opportunity Development
- Qualify leads based on business fit, service relevance, potential value, and readiness to engage
- Conduct discovery calls and requirement-gathering discussions with prospective clients
- Understand client challenges across Amazon, marketplaces, quick commerce, D2C, advertising, content, and analytics
- Present Nuvoretail’s services in a consultative and solution-oriented manner
- Build and manage a healthy opportunity pipeline with clear follow-ups and next steps
- Track lead progress through CRM systems and reporting tools
Proposal Creation & Sales Support
- Develop pitch decks, solution presentations, proposals, and commercial narratives for prospective clients
- Prepare scope of work, commercials, pricing structures, and engagement models
- Customize recommendations based on client objectives, category context, and business challenges
- Support leadership during business pitches, sales meetings, and strategic discussions
- Ensure all proposals clearly communicate Nuvoretail’s value proposition, service offerings, and expected business impact
Negotiation & Closure
- Drive opportunities from proposal stage through commercial discussions and closure
- Manage objections, alignment discussions, and negotiation conversations with prospective clients
- Coordinate internally to resolve open questions around scope, commercials, execution feasibility, and onboarding readiness
- Contribute toward monthly and quarterly business development targets
- Ensure a smooth transition from signed opportunity to client onboarding
Performance Tracking & Process Improvement
- Track key metrics across outreach, lead generation, qualification, proposal conversion, and closures
- Evaluate the effectiveness of different acquisition channels and campaigns
- Improve messaging, targeting, and conversion strategy based on data and market feedback
- Prepare regular reports on pipeline health, campaign performance, meetings, proposals, and business outcomes
Industry Engagement & Strategic Growth
- Support webinars, workshops, seminars, and networking events that strengthen Nuvoretail’s industry presence
- Identify partnership and collaboration opportunities within the e-commerce ecosystem
- Represent the company in relevant conversations, forums, and market-facing initiatives
- Build relationships across the brand, e-commerce, and partner ecosystem to create future business opportunities
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with internal marketing, operations, analytics, and leadership teams during the sales process
- Ensure timely proposal development and alignment on client requirements
- Support onboarding and handover of closed accounts to internal delivery teams
- Help maintain continuity between pre-sales commitments and post-sales execution
Team Leadership
For candidates managing junior team members:
- Mentor and guide sales and marketing executives
- Set activity targets and performance benchmarks
- Monitor outreach quality, pipeline movement, and proposal turnaround
- Support training and capability development across the team
Required Experience & Skills "
- 4–6 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Pre-Sales
- Strong experience in B2B lead generation and outreach
- Proven ability to manage client discussions, opportunity pipelines, and deal closures
- Experience in pitch deck creation, proposal writing, and sales presentations
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a consultative, solution-led selling environment
- Strong analytical thinking and comfort with performance reporting
- Experience using CRM platforms and outbound prospecting tools
