Role Description The Assistant Manager – International Business Development & Marketing for the Africa region is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities across African markets, including building and maintaining relationships with international partners, referral networks, and patient facilitators. The individual will support the design and execution of marketing campaigns targeted at the Africa region, coordinate digital and offline promotional activities, and assist in organizing events, medical outreach programs, and partnerships that enhance brand visibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include market research and analysis, tracking lead pipelines and conversion metrics, coordinating with clinical and operations teams to ensure a seamless experience for international patients, and preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership. The role also includes regular liaison with internal stakeholders to align marketing initiatives with clinical specialties, service offerings, and strategic business goals.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong international business development and relationship management skills, with experience in healthcare, hospitality, or services targeting African or international markets.
- Candidates should possess marketing and branding skills, including experience with campaign planning, digital and social media marketing, event coordination, and promotional activities for international audiences.
- Candidates should possess market research and analytical skills, including the ability to gather and interpret data, track performance metrics, and prepare business reports and presentations.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in written and spoken English, stakeholder coordination, negotiation, and culturally sensitive engagement.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives, meet timelines, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field is preferred; a master’s degree will be an added advantage.
