Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Housekeeping to head the housekeeping department at our new naturopathy wellness luxury center in Uttarakhand. The role involves leading the housekeeping team, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest comfort, while aligning with the center’s wellness and sustainability ethos.
Key Responsibilities
- Department Leadership: Lead the housekeeping team as Head of Department, ensuring smooth operations across all guest and service areas.
- Quality Standards: Maintain luxury-level cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of discipline, efficiency, and guest-centric service.
- Guest Satisfaction: Ensure prompt and professional housekeeping services to enhance guest experience.
- Inventory Control: Manage housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment, ensuring cost-effective usage and timely procurement.
- Sustainability Practices: Implement eco-friendly housekeeping practices, including use of natural cleaning products and waste reduction.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in luxury hospitality or wellness resorts.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of eco-friendly cleaning practices and sustainable housekeeping methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or equivalent preferred.
