Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design teams to translate concepts and sketches into commercially viable fits and silhouettes aligned with brand aesthetics.
- Create and maintain detailed technical specification sheets for all styles, including measurements, construction details, fit intent, and styling guidelines.
- Develop graded measurement specs to ensure size consistency and proportional fit across ranges.
- Conduct fit sessions on live models and provide technical recommendations for improved comfort, appearance, and functionality.
- Identify fit and construction issues and implement corrective actions during product development stages.
- Guide vendor pattern makers on pattern corrections and technical improvements to enhance production accuracy and efficiency.
- Review and approve development, fit, and pre-production samples to ensure quality and fit standards are achieved before bulk production.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers and manufacturing partners on technical and fit-related requirements.
- Partner with QC and production teams to resolve technical challenges during bulk manufacturing.
- Support buying and design teams with technical expertise related to garment construction, fit, safety, and functionality.
- Assess product risks, including children’s safety considerations, and recommend appropriate design or styling modifications where required.

Additional Information
Skills & Experience Required
- 10–12 years of experience in Fit & Technical functions within the apparel industry.
- Strong experience in kidswear/apparel is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of garment construction, grading, fitting, pattern correction, and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience conducting fit sessions and managing sample approvals.
- Strong communication and vendor management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with design, sourcing, buying, production, and quality teams.
- Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.
- Knowledge of product safety and compliance standards for children’s apparel is an advantage
