Assistant Manager – Reporting & Controls
Qualification: Qualified CA (ICAI)
Experience: 1–1.5 years Post Qualification (PQE)
Background: Consulting / Professional Services (Big 4 Preferred)

About the Role
We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to join our Finance team in a high-impact role covering books closure, audit management, internal controls, and process improvement. This role is ideal for professionals who have built strong foundations in consulting (preferably Big 4) and are ready to deliver tangible outcomes in an industry environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Books & Accounts closure on a monthly and annual basis with accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate and support statutory and internal audits; act as the primary liaison with auditors
- Design, execute, and document internal control testing under ongoing control assurance frameworks
- Identify gaps in financial processes and lead process improvement initiatives across the finance function
- Prepare MIS reports, financial schedules, and management packs using advanced Excel models
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, disclosures, and filings
- Work closely with statutory and tax auditors to ensure timely audit closure and resolution of queries
Qualifications & Experience — Must Have
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI)
- 1–2 years of Post-Qualification Experience
- Prior experience in a consulting/professional services firm
- Hands-on exposure to books closure, statutory audits, control testing, and process improvement
Qualifications & Experience — Preferred
- Experience in IPO readiness / IPO-related assignments
- Background from a Big 4 firm
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced Excel: Pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modelling (mandatory)
- Communication: Clear and confident written and verbal communication
- Analytical Thinking: Strong numerical aptitude with a structured problem-solving approach
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in financial reporting and control documentation
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment
