Role Description The Assistant Logistics Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dhule, responsible for supporting end-to-end logistics operations for fertilizer and phosphate products. The role includes coordinating inbound and outbound transportation, managing warehouse activities, and tracking inventory levels to ensure timely, accurate deliveries to dealers and distributors. The person in this role will assist with supply planning, shipment scheduling, documentation, and compliance with internal and regulatory standards. Daily work involves collaborating with procurement, production, and sales teams, addressing logistics issues, and maintaining clear communication with transporters and customers. The Assistant Logistics Manager will also support cost optimization initiatives, monitor service performance, and contribute to continuous improvement in logistics processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management skills to coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities effectively.
- Experience in Inventory Management and Procurement to maintain optimal stock levels and support timely sourcing of materials and products.
- Customer Service capabilities to handle dealer and distributor queries, resolve delivery issues, and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to use MS Excel and other relevant software for data tracking, reporting, and basic analytics related to logistics and inventory.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field; experience in manufacturing or agribusiness is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work on-site in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good communication skills in English and relevant regional languages, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
