Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Assistant HR Payroll & Compliance to manage payroll operations, statutory compliance, and workforce administration for our manufacturing facility. The role involves handling employee payroll data, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting HR operations for a workforce of 500+ employees. The position requires regular site visits and coordination with plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll & Attendance Management
• Process monthly payroll for 500+ employees including workers and staff.
• Maintain and verify attendance, overtime, leave records, and wage calculations.
• Coordinate with the time office for accurate attendance and shift data.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and timely salary disbursement.
Statutory Compliance:
• Manage statutory compliance under:
• Employees' Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 (PF)
• Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 (ESIC)
• Factories Act, 1948 • Payment of Bonus Act, 1965
• Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972
• Professional Tax (PT) and Labor Welfare Fund (LWF)
• Preparation and submission of monthly/annual statutory returns and challans.
• Maintain statutory registers and compliance documentation.
Labor Welfare & Industrial Relations
• Support labor welfare administration and employee welfare initiatives.
• Coordinate with management and workforce to maintain positive industrial relations.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and plant policies.
HR Operations
• Manage employee master data and maintain HR records.
• Assist in policy implementation and HR operational activities.
• Support onboarding documentation and workforce data management.
Training & Employee Engagement
• Coordinate training programs and skill development initiatives for plant employees.
• Support employee engagement activities and cultural programs.
Audit & Documentation
• Prepare documentation for internal and statutory audits.
• Ensure proper maintenance of payroll records, compliance files, and labor documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors and management during inspections.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Commerce, or Business Administration.
• 8-9 years of experience in payroll and compliance in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, and Factory Act compliance.
• Experience handling large workforce payroll (300–500+ employees) preferred. • Proficiency in MS Excel and HR/payroll software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential data.
