Assistant HR Manager – Job Description
Job Summary
The Assistant HR Manager supports the HR department in managing daily human resource operations and implementing HR policies. This role plays an important part in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Support recruitment and selection processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and exit formalities.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Support performance appraisal processes and employee development programs.
- Address employee relations issues and assist in resolving workplace conflicts.
- Assist in payroll coordination, attendance tracking, and leave management.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Support training and development initiatives across the organization.
- Prepare HR reports, analytics, and presentations for management.
- Assist in disciplinary procedures and grievance handling when required.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, labour laws, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR or a similar role.
- HR certification such as SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent is an added advantage.
